Bye-bye hairdoo

Hey Guys!
Just a quick update on what has happened since the fight party. Life is good and things are progressing well. I just finished my fourth chemo treatment. It was the first time that I was actually a little tired/green, but I had a good night sleep and I am doing well.

I am scheduled for a fifth treatment next Wednesday. When I asked for a sixth treatment before having a break, the doctor got a little put off and I decided not to push him any further. Bruce and I are going to put together a letter to send around the country to IBC specialty clinics to make sure we are doing all that we can do. I am also trying to get to get into the Huntsman Center for a second opinion. My current oncologist is part of the Huntsman network, but we'd like to know that everyone is on the same page.

Yesterday was a sad day because my hair began to fall out in copious amounts. I've been waiting for it to happen, but the reality of it was still hard. Ryker saw a pile of hair and said, "yucky". I am hoping to make it until Saturday before the big shave. I'm going to find some cool doo-rags/hats and of course the wig.

We continue to pray for our miracle. This is what I know: I have been promised that I am blessed with "health and strength, able to enjoy the blessings coming my way." In addition, the Book of Mormon line that is sticking in my head is, "if ye keep my commandments, ye will prosper in the land." We are doing all that we can do to follow the commandments and to fight the fight. This is my land and I am staying put. We are doing our part and know that the Lord will do his part. With God all things are possible.

Thanks for your love and support. Enjoy every day!

Love,
Jeanel

jeanel-

Sorry to hear about your hair going but I know the real tough part is to go along with this new journey Heavenly Father has sent you on especially with little kids. It's tough, I am still scared too. You will be stylin, I have a cute bandana I never wore and I found countless girls on the net that have beat this thing so keep the faith girl, I found constant prayer and pleading has helped me, I think The Lord got tired of me begging; like meag says we've got your back. Jeanel,

It sickens me to see your pain / disappointment in your hair being cut. If it makes you feel any better---I like the buzz cut A LOT better than that perm mom gave you. Dad probably sides with me as well. I remember when she was supposed to give dad a "body wave" and he came out looking like Richard Simmons.
